Every workout lives inside a folder. Folders keep your library organized and are the basis for delivering workouts: you always assign, copy, and share by folder. The My Workouts folder is the default folder — it’s where the workouts you haven’t placed in any other folder live.

In the coach panel

In your Workouts library, folders appear as lists you can open and close. Each folder has an options menu (⋯) with everything you need.

Create a folder

1

Open Workouts

In the menu, go to Workouts.
2

Create the folder

Use New folder and give it a name (e.g., “Beginners”, “Hypertrophy”, “Phase 1”).

Folder actions

In each folder’s options menu (⋯) you’ll find:
  • Assign folder — delivers the folder’s workouts to an athlete, several athletes, or a team.
  • Train with this one — sends the folder to your workouts in the app, for you to train yourself. It doesn’t affect your athletes.
  • Share — generates a public link; whoever opens it copies all the folder’s workouts into their account.
  • New workout in folder — creates a workout right inside that folder.
  • Rename folder — changes the folder’s name.
  • Delete folder — removes the folder.
Assign, Share and Train with this one only show up when the folder has at least one workout inside.

Train with your own workouts

Train with this one is a switch: once it’s on, the item becomes Remove from my app and the folder gets the green In your app tag in its header.
It’s the fastest way to use Kampp for yourself, without signing up as your own athlete.

Change the order of the workouts

When a folder has more than one workout, the ↑ ↓ arrows show up on each row. They change the order inside the folder.
The order you set also applies to the copies already delivered to athletes. In other words, tidying the sequence here tidies it for whoever already received it.

Move a workout to another folder

In the options menu (⋯) of the workout in the listing, use Move to folder and choose the destination (a folder or My programs).
If you try to delete a workout that is assigned to someone, Kampp warns you that it’s in use and says to how many athletes. Check before confirming.

Block folders are separate

The Blocks tab has its own folder list. A folder created inside Blocks doesn’t show up on the workouts tab, and vice versa. See Blocks.
Organize by goal or by training phase. Well-arranged folders make it easier to build a periodized program, since each phase uses a folder.
Deleting a folder does not delete the workouts. They stay saved and go back to My programs — which is how the group with no folder shows up in the library listing (in the builder, that same destination is called My Workouts).

Folders in the athlete’s profile

In an athlete’s Workouts tab, what they received also shows up grouped by folder — both the folders exclusive to them and the ones that came from your library. There you have New folder to create a folder just for that athlete and, inside it, New workout.
On that screen the trash icon is in the folder header, and deleting the folder removes its workouts from that athlete. To just move a workout somewhere else, use Move to folder.

In the athlete app

The athlete also sees their workouts organized in folders that open and close. The default folder is called My Workouts. The athlete can:
  • Create, rename, and delete their own folders.
  • Reorder the folders and reorder the workouts inside a folder by holding and dragging.
The workouts you deliver show up for the athlete ready to do, without allowing edits. The athlete organizes them, but doesn’t change what came from you.
