Start a conversation

There are three ways in — use whichever is quickest right now:
1

From the New conversation button

In Chat, click the speech-bubble icon with a + (New conversation). Search for the athlete by name or email and click them.
2

From the list search

Type the name into the Search athlete or message… box. Anyone without a conversation yet shows up under Start conversation, marked No conversation yet.
3

From the athlete's profile

Open the athlete and click Message at the top of the page.
If a conversation with that person already exists, Kampp reopens it — it never creates a second one.
Only active athletes on your roster show up. Anyone who hasn’t accepted your invite yet isn’t listed: first they accept and get into the app, then you can talk.

Write and send

In the Type here… box:
  • Enter sends the message.
  • Shift + Enter starts a new line without sending.
If the text goes over the limit, the counter turns red and asks you to shorten it before sending.

Send a photo, a video or a document

Click the paperclip (Attach image, video or document) and pick the file.
  • One attachment per message. Want to send three photos? That’s three messages.
  • Screenshot straight from the keyboard: copy the image and paste it with Ctrl + V (or Cmd + V) inside the compose box — Kampp attaches it on its own.
  • Video plays right inside the conversation, with controls.
  • Document becomes a card with the name, the size and a download button.
Click any photo in the conversation to open it full screen. From there you get Download image, and you close it with Esc or by clicking outside.

Know when the athlete received and read it

Next to each message you send there’s a status mark:
  • Clock — on its way out.
  • One tick — delivered.
  • Two blue ticks — the athlete read it.
  • Warning triangle — it didn’t go through. Click Try again.
Conversations you open are marked as read on their own — there’s no manual “mark as read” (and you don’t need one).

Delete a message

Hover over one of your messages, click the ⋯ and choose Delete. In its place you get the Message deleted note, on both sides.

Notices you might see

  • “Relationship ended — read only” — the athlete left your roster. The history stays visible, but you can’t write anymore.
  • “No connection to the server” — a yellow banner at the top. New messages show up as soon as the connection is back.
  • “Start the conversation” — it’s a new conversation, with no messages yet.
