When two or more exercises are done back to back, you group them in the builder. The athlete sees the exercises joined by a bracket and understands right away that they’re meant to be done in sequence.
Grouping only exists in the Classic workout format. In a Rounds workout it makes no sense — the round is already a circuit.

How to group

1

Put the exercises in the right order

Grouping is always with the exercise above. Use the ↑ ↓ arrows to get the order right first.
2

Hover over the exercise below

The action icons show up on the card.
3

Click the chain icon

The tooltip says Superset with the one above.
To undo it, click the same icon — now it shows as a broken chain, in red, with Undo superset.

The name changes with the size

You don’t choose the label: it comes from the size of the group. To build a tri-set, group the second with the first and then the third with the second.

How it looks on screen

The exercises in the group sit inside a red frame, with the label on top. The same bracket shows up on the workout detail screen and in the athlete’s app, following the same naming rule.
The rest that matters is the one on the last exercise of the group — that’s what separates one pass from the next. On the exercises in the middle, leave the rest at zero so the athlete really goes straight through.

A rule that catches everyone

If you move or delete an exercise and the group is left with only one, the grouping undoes itself. That’s not a bug: a superset of one exercise doesn’t exist. After reorganizing exercises in a workout with supersets, it’s worth checking that the brackets are still where you wanted them.
