Kampp also connects with the official WhatsApp Business API, from Meta. The main difference: in automations, the official WhatsApp works with approved templates — message models you register and Meta approves beforehand.

Before you start

In your Meta account (WhatsApp Manager), you’ll need:
  • Phone Number ID (the number’s identifier)
  • Access token (permanent)
  • WhatsApp Business Account ID (the “WABA”) — required, it’s what lets Kampp fetch your templates.

How to connect

1

Go to Integrations

In the menu, open Integrations and choose the Official WhatsApp (Meta) card.
2

Create a new connection

Click New connection, give it a name, and paste the three details above.
3

Save

The connection becomes active and appears as an option in automations with the “WhatsApp (Official)” step.

How to use it in automations

In the “Send WhatsApp (Official)” step, you choose the connection, Kampp fetches your approved templates, and you select one. If the template has blanks (variables), you fill each one — including for the athlete’s name.
Templates are created and approved on Meta’s side (in Business Manager). Here in Kampp you use the ones already approved — you don’t create templates here.
Not sure which to use? z-API tends to be simpler to start with (free text). The official one is best when you already work with Meta’s template structure.
