# Kampp Body Scan

> Follow the athlete's body composition progress from the scans they take in the app.

The **Body Scan** is done by the athlete, in the app: they take the photo and the app
estimates the measurements. In your dashboard you follow how those numbers evolve.

Open the athlete → **Assessments** tab → **Kampp Body Scans** sub-tab.

<Note>
  This screen is read-only. You don't create or edit a scan — the athlete is the one who
  logs it.
</Note>

## Privacy comes first

At the top of the screen there's a notice worth understanding:

> **You only see the Body Scan numbers. Photos and personal notes stay private in the
> athlete's app.**

Scan images only appear in the **Sharing** sub-tab, and even then they depend on the
athlete having consented and on your profile having permission. See
[Sensitive data and consent](/en/sensitive-data).

## Latest Body Scan

The card at the top shows the most recent scan with four numbers:

| Number | What it is |
| - | - |
| **Weight** | In kg, with the change from the previous scan. |
| **Body fat %** | An estimated range (for example: 15–18%). |
| **Waist** | In cm, with the change. |
| **Athletic score** | A score from 0 to 100. |

Next to the date you'll see the scan's **confidence** badge (green, amber or red).

<Warning>
  The confidence badge indicates the **quality of the estimate**. A low-confidence scan can
  carry a bigger error in the measurements — use common sense and don't base a prescription
  decision on a single number.
</Warning>

## Progress

With two or more scans, you get:

* the **Progress since the first scan** card, with how many days of follow-up and the
  change in **weight**, **waist** and **athletic score**;
* three charts tracking each of those numbers over time;
* the **All scans** card, listing every entry with date, weight, waist, body fat range and
  score.

## If nothing shows up

The screen shows **No Body Scans recorded** until the athlete takes the first one. The
scan starts in their app — there's no way for you to log one from the dashboard.

<Tip>
  It's worth telling the athlete that the scan is quick, and that the more standardized the
  photo (same light, same distance, same clothes), the more comparable their progress
  becomes.
</Tip>

## When the tab doesn't show up

* **Because of the plan:** the sub-tab may come blurred with a padlock and a button to see
  plans.
* **Because of permissions:** team members only see it if their profile has permission for
  Body Scan measurements. See [Permissions](/en/permissions).
